On Tuesday afternoon Ireland entertained Chile in a Pre World Cup warm up game at the National Sports Centre, Abbotstown, Co Dublin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elena Tice<\/strong>\u2019s strike in the 32nd<\/sup> minute opened the scoring to put Ireland 1-0 up. Two minutes later Irish Captain, Katie Mullan<\/strong> put away a cross from Deirdre Duke<\/strong> for a 2-0 lead. Ireland continued to press but couldn\u2019t put away chances to lead 2-0 at the end of the 3rd<\/sup> quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game was effectively over when Siofra O\u2019Brien<\/strong> found the net, after 48 minutes. Both sides created chances in the remaining minutes. Ireland held on for a not altogether convincing win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
