On Saturday afternoon Queens faced Dungannon in Ulster Premiership Division One, as the 2nd part of a double header at The Dub, Upper Malone. A shower midway through the game was pleasant refreshment for players and spectators, from a very hot sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ryan Street opened the scoring for Queens<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Queens opened the scoring, after 11 minutes, when Ryan Street<\/strong> went over in the left corner for a 5-0 lead. Then defences largely cancelled each other out as play was kept between the 22s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dungannon were added a penalty try, when a high tackle prevented a probable score<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the 33rd<\/sup> minute, Dungannon were awarded a penalty try, when a hight tackle prevented the ball being grounded in the left corner. Dungannon took the 7-5 lead into halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 4 minutes, Queens restored their lead with an Angus Christie <\/strong>try and conversion. Queens led 12-7. Queens started to turn the screw and Dungannon\u2019s tight 1st<\/sup> half defence crumbled. Harry Long<\/strong>\u2019s try and Christie\u2019s conversion on 52 minutes moved Queens out to 19-7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pressure on the Dungannon defence yielded more scores. Matthew Miller<\/strong>, 65 minutes, Jonny Hunter<\/strong>, 67 minutes, Long, 75 minutes and Rory Christie<\/strong>, 79 minutes, together with 2 conversions moved Queens out to an emphatic 43-7 bonus point victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
