When I arrived, the score was 5-5. Inst\u2019s try was scored by Blake McClean<\/strong> and Ballymena\u2019s by Daniel Vercoe-Rodgers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After 25 minutes a Ballymena rolling maul was driven over for Reece Williamson<\/strong> to score. Robbie Coleman<\/strong>\u2019s conversion moved Ballymena out to 12-5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

James Kerr got in, at the corner<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Inst responded and James Kerr<\/strong> found space on the left to break the Ballymena defence to slide in for a try, to reduce the deficit to 10-12, after 34 minutes. Ballymena had the last say of the 1st<\/sup> half, when Coleman\u2019s penalty goal put Ballymena up 15-10, at the break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reuben Allen opened the 2nd half scoring for Ballymena<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A 40th<\/sup> minute Reuben Allen<\/strong> try for Ballymena was cancelled out by a 2nd<\/sup> McClean try, to leave Ballymena leading 20-15. Coleman\u2019s 58th<\/sup> minute penalty goal nudged Ballymena out to 23-15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blake McClean got a brace of tries for Inst<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In the final moments Ben Neeley<\/strong>\u2019s try gave Ballymena a deserved 28-15 victory, at Osborne, no easy feat!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
