On Sunday afternoon Enniskillen were the visitors to Gibson Park to play Malone in a Women\u2019s Premiership fixture. A drab grey Sunday afternoon was lit up by a great game in which the lead was always in jeopardy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zara Flack opened the scoring for Enniskillen, with the first of her two tries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Both sides set out their stall early on by running the ball at every opportunity. It was Enniskillen, who struck first. The ball was moved out into space on the right and Zara Flack<\/strong> had the pace to squeeze in at the corner for a 13th<\/sup> minute, 5-0 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malone responded when they took a quick tap penalty for Lauren Maginnes<\/strong> to crash over, under the posts. Grainne Murphy<\/strong> converted for Malone to lead 7-5 on 23 minutes. Enniskillen replied with a Sophie Meeke<\/strong> try, after 38 minutes. Enniskillen took a 10-7 lead into halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peta McAllister barged over for the first of her two tries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Meeke\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> try on 46 minutes increased Enniskillen\u2019s lead to 15-7, before Malone\u2019s Peta McAllister<\/strong> barged her way through defenders to score after 50 minutes. Murphy\u2019s conversion brought the score back to 14-15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Flack\u2019s second try, after 54 minute put Enniskillen out to 20-15. In the 58th<\/sup> minute Maginnes charged through defenders for her 2nd<\/sup> try. Murphy\u2019s conversion put Malone into the lead 21-20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McAllister\u2019s 2nd<\/sup> try, after 60 minutes consolidated Malone\u2019s 26-20 lead. Sarah Murphy<\/strong>\u2019s try on 74 minutes secured Malone\u2019s victory. Both sides played out the last few minutes before the final whistle blew on a 31-20 win for Malone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
