On Saturday, at lunchtime, Castle II were the visitors to The Dub, to play Queen’s University IV, in a Women\u2019s Junior Cup game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pippa Drummond opened the scoring for Queens, with the first of her two goals<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Play began to open up in the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0quarter with both sides forcing penalty corners and troubling the keepers. The deadlock was broken in the 22nd<\/sup>\u00a0minutes when Pippa Drummond<\/strong> rifled a shot home from open play. Queen’s led 1-0 at halftime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queens hit a purple patch in the 3rd quarter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Queens hit their straps in the 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0quarter. Pressure resulted in goals from Zara\u00a0Hannah<\/strong>, 35 minutes, Drummond, 40 minutes and Eilie Richmond<\/strong>, 42 minutes to give Queen’s a comfortable 4-0 lead at the end of the 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though Castle responded with attacks in the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0quarter, Queen’s remained on top. Pressure yielded a 55th<\/sup> minute goal from Leah Wilson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Queen’s look forward to the next round on the back of an emphatic 5-0 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
