Ulster welcomed Eagle Impact Rugby Academy on Friday. The girls played at Queen’s Sports while the boys played at Newforge.

I caught up with the games at Queen’s with the U16 Girls kicking things off on the old 1st XV pitch at The Dub. The game was played over three periods of 20 minutes.

The Eagles took an early lead with No 27 Jordynn Shannonhouse going over for an unconverted try after two minutes. The rest of the opening period was fairly tight with no further score and the teams changed ends with Ulster trailing 0 – 5.

The visitors upped the tempo in the second period with Shannonhouse claiming her second unconverted try to get the scoreboard clicking over.

The American side added two more with No 13 Lucy Walker and their impressive outhalf Tahna Wilfley both crossing to push the score out to 0 – 20.
