We caught up with an early season squad hit out between Ballymena Academy and Ballyclare High at Galgorm Road on saturday morning.
The game was played over three 20 minute periods as both teams had a good look at their squads.
Ballymena scored the only try of the first 20 minutes with hooker Ben Millar crashing over for Robbie Coleman to convert giving the home side a 7 – 0 lead.
Stevie Bristow and Millar crossed in the second period with Coleman converting one to take the score to 19 – 0 as the teams went into the final period.
Millar competed his hat trick at the start of the final period and Ben Neely crashed over towards the end. Coleman converted both to give Ballymena a comprehensive 33 – 0 win in an enjoyable work out for both sides.
