We caught up with the Ulster U18 Girls team as they entertained Munster U18 Girls in their final match in the 2023 Interprovincial Series at Eaton Park on Saturday morning.
Ulster were looking to pick up a win in the series and they started strongly, Ulster’s Cara McClean barging over for the opening try, after 14 minutes, to give Ulster a 5 – 0 lead.

Munster replied at the start of the second quarter with Mia Hennelly finding the line to take the score to 5 – 5.
Unfortunately for the home side Munster finished the 1st half on top with a penalty from Catrina Finn before Sally Kelly scored a try to take the score to 5 – 13 as the teams changed ends.
Munster went further ahead at the start of the second half with a converted try from Emma Duncan to take the score to 5 – 20.

However, Ulster deserved more out of the game and they got some reward for their efforts with a late try from replacement Amy McConkey. Leah Irwin added the extras for a final score of Ulster 12 Munster 20
