Royal Belfast Academical Institution welcomed Dublin’s Belvedere College to Osborne Park on Saturday morning for an All Ireland Schools senior friendly match.
It was a tight contest throughout.
Belvedere got on the scoreboard towards the end of the first half with a converted try just past the half hour mark to take the score to 0 – 7 and that’s how it stood until half time.
RBAI pushed for a response throughout the second half and they got a try about 15 minutes in with James Clarke going over for Jamie Beattie converting to tie the game at 7 – 7.
Both sides pushed for a winner in the final twenty minutes but the well drilled defences held firm and the game ended as a draw.
