Ulster Premiership: Belfast Harlequins 39 Bangor 19

I got to Deramore Park, as the whistle sounded for the start of the 2nd half. Belfast Harlequins led 27-7 at the break. Andrew Shaw contributed a try for Bangor, converted by Gareth Millar. Unfortunately, we don’t have the 1st half scorers for Quins.

Quins increased their 1st half lead, when Cole Blyde scored under the posts for Charlie Beattie to convert to put Quins up 32-7.

Charlie Beattie’s try and conversion put Quins 39-7 up

A solo try by Beattie, which he converted, took Quins out to 39-7 after 45 minutes.

Having secured their bonus point Quins seemed to relax and Bangor, with nothing to lose, slung the ball about, almost in ‘7s’ style, finding gaps in the Quins defence.

Danny young scored Bangor’s 2nd try

Danny Young got over on the left, after 55 minutes to reduce the deficit to 12-32. On 64 minutes Matt Bougoure try and conversion by Millar pulled Bangor back to 19-39.

Quins were content to see the game out for a bonus point win in Ulster Premiership Division 2.
