Osborne Park was the venue for the U16 Cup fixture between Royal Belfast Academical Institution and Sullivan Upper School, on Wednesday afternoon.

Inst took the lead in the 2nd minute, when Conor Davis got over, beside the posts. Dylan Morrow’s conversion gave Inst a 7-0 lead. On 7 minutes Matthew Elliott’s try and Morrow’s conversion moved Inst out to 14-0.
Jacob McFerran’s intercepted on his own 22 and outpaced the Inst defence to open the scoring for Sullivan. Isaac Wray’s conversion brought the score back to 7-14.
Almost immediately Tom Alderdice sniped over, beside a ruck for Inst to lead 19-7.

A powerful midfield break by Elliott, saw him dive under the posts on 28 minutes. Morrow’s conversion put Inst 26-7 up. However, Inst relaxed and allowed Jacob McKeown to score just before halftime. Wray’s conversion saw Sullivan down 14-26 at the break.

After halftime Inst piled on the pressure dominating in all aspects of play. Sullivan had to live off scraps, with occasional forays into the Inst half.
Tries by Louis Campbell, 36 minutes, Jamie McAllister, 41 minutes, Adam Middleby, 46 minutes and Adam Currie, 58 minutes, together with 3 Morrow conversions, eased Inst to a very comfortable 52-14 victory.
