I caught up with the early morning U14 Superleague fixture between Friend’s School and The Royal School Armagh on Saturday morning in Lisburn.
It was a great way to start my busy Saturday with both teams producing an entertaining match.

The home team had the better of the first quarter but defences dominated and the quarter ended with the score at 0 – 0.

Armagh woke up in the second quarter and they applied the early pressure but just as they were getting into their stride Friends broke out and Hannah Bark netted for the opening goal to give Friends a 1 – 0 lead at half time.

Both teams had their chances in the third quarter but strong defences meant that we went into the final quarter with Armagh still trailing by a single goal.

Armagh pushed forward throughout the final quarter as they looked for an equaliser however the best chance fell to Friends but it went just wide and the game ended as a 1 – 0 win for the home team. Great fun and a big gallery below.
