Lisnagarvey 4th XI hoster Ards 3rd XI in the first round of the Ulster Hockey Junior Cup in a lunch time fixture at Comber Road.
The Ards team got off to the best of starts with a first quarter goal from Leah McClements to give the visitors a 0 – 1 lead at the end of the first quarter.
McClements doubled the lead for Ards in the second quarter but the home team looked to be getting more into the game as the quarter progressed.
Garvey got some reward for their efforts when Gracie Moore scored in the third quarter to take the score to 1 – 2 and it was all to play for as the teams went into the final quarter.
The visitors were able to finish with a flourish and goals from Anna Campbell and Amey Crossman decided the game as a 1 – 4 win for Ards who progress to the next round of the Junior Cup.
