U14 Superleague: Belfast Royal Academy 0 Royal School Armagh 3

I caught the U14 Superleague Quarter Final at Roughfort on Saturday morning as Belfast Royal Academy hosted The Royal School Armagh.

It was a tense game from the start with both teams battling it out in midfield for the first 15 minutes. Armagh got the breakthrough at the end of the first quarter with a calmly taken strike from Emma Sloan to give the visitors a 0 – 1 lead.

Emma Sloan opened the scoring for Armagh,

The second quarter was also evenly contested but there was no score and the teams changed ends with BRA still chasing that one goal deficit.

BRA on the attack.

Armagh got their second score midway through the third quarter with Ruby McCormick getting the touch on a Sloan shot to divert it past the BRA keeper and the teams went into the final quarter with Armagh leading 0 – 2.

All smiles from Ruby McCormick after scoring for Armagh.

BRA pushed forward strongly in the final quarter, hoping to get something out of the game, but a late break by Armagh was finished off by Sloan to give Armagh a 0 – 3 win and a place in the Semi Finals at Lisnagarvey on 7th November.

Armagh look forward to their semi final in November.
