We caught up some of the games in the Irish Hockey Schoolboys Championship hosted by Banbridge Academy on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday of this week.

The Championship featured 16 teams in four groups with the group winners going into the semi finals of the Tasmanian Shield and the group runners up the semi finals of the Herbie Sharman Perpetual Shield.

The Groups are as follows.

The competition was played over four venues, Banbridge Academy, Havelock Park, Ferris Park and Edenvilla Park. The Ulster sides got the competition up and running early Wednesday afternoon with other provincial sides joining the competition with a 3.30 pm pass back.
