On Saturday, at lunchtime, Banbridge were the visitors to Deramore Park to face Belfast Harlequins in a Women’s Premier fixture.
Banbridge had the majority of play in the scoreless 1st quarter. Their midfield dominated but the forwards couldn’t find space to create any meaningful chances.

After 18 minutes a drive from midfield and a defence splitting pass found Jenna Henry, in space. She slotted the ball home to give Quins a deserved 1-0 lead.

On 23 minutes Claire Whiteside doubled the lead, when she rounded the keeper to score, with a shot from the right. Quins led 2-0 at halftime.
Playing into the now low sunshine, Banbridge rallied, creating some chances but couldn’t find the net. Quins continued to trouble the Banbridge keeper, who kept a clean sheet in the quarter. Banbridge led 2-0 at the end of the 3rd quarter.

In the 4th quarter a 51st minute Julie Dennison goal, followed by a 56th minute Katie Larmour effort settled the game. Quins move up to 4th place in the table, following this result.
