I caught up with the first game in a four match series at Ulster University Jordanstown between Ireland and Scotland U21 Women’s sides on Monday afternoon.

There is not a great deal of information available on the squads though I did recognise an Elk and a Queen’s player. Hopefully we’ll get more info as the series progresses.

It was a bit of a smash and grab raid by Ireland in the opening game with a first quarter goal from Leah O’Shea the difference between the teams.

Ireland U21’s Leah O’shea was the only scorer in the opening match of the Uniphar Series against Scotland at Jordanstown.

Scotland certainly had the bulk of possession and created the most chances and penalty corners but they were unable to convert, O’Shea’s goal somewhat against the run of play in a scrappy match .

We do have a big match gallery below though.
